UV Asset Reconstruction Company Ltd. is a Securitization Company / Reconstruction Company (SC/RC) registered with Reserve Bank of India having its registered office at Nehru Place, New Delhi. The company operates from its corporate office in New Delhi and a Strategic Business Unit in Mumbai.

The company prides itself to have investments in its equity by 7 Public sector Banks and 2 Public Insurance Companies.The company is one of the best performing ARCs in the country in terms of the Return on Equity. It is one of the few ARCs consistently paying dividend each year.

Mr. P. J. Vincent, an officer of the Indian Civil Account Service (ICAS), a premier service in Financial Management, Accounting and Audit in Govt. of India, has experience of over three decades in many facets covering Higher Financial Management in the government. He has served in 9 important ministries of the Govt. of India which includes Economic Ministries like Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Law and Company Affairs, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Coal and Mines, Ministry of Surface Transport, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Labor etc. and other regulatory and social ministries.

Major areas of assignments are as under:

  • Structuring, compilation and presentation of the accounts of various ministeries and follow up till finality in the Parliament of India and Public accounts Committee.

  • Multilateral, bilateral and country specific interactions of the Govt. of India, which included United Nations Organizations including World Bank and IMF etc., US Aids, Japanese Development organizations, European Union and 22 other Countries.

  • Appellate Authority of the Govt. for the Reserve Bank of India on Non-Banking Finance Companies (NBFC). It's a record that over 10,000 cases had been adjudicated during the period of 5 years (1999-2004).

  • From 2001 to 2004, he has been a Financial Advisor to Finance Ministry and 19 other Departments dealing in policy and implementation in Department of Economic Affairs, Banking Revenue Expenditure and other departments.

  • On the board of the Investor Protection Council, Responsible for monitoring of investors interest and dealing with regulatory aspects of Investors protection.

  • Board level appointment on the Public Sector Banks (Syndicate Bank and Punjab & Sind Bank) and other Public Sector Undertakings like major Ports of India, National Highway Authority of India, Inland Waterways Authority of India, Dredging Corporation of India, Delhi Transport Corporation, Kudurmukh Ironore, Helicopter Corporation of India Ltd., Indian Airlines/ Air India, Airport Authority of India.

  • 1971 - 1979 served as an officer of the Indian Air force (rank of squadron leader at the point of transfer to reserve). He has been responsible for Accounting and Audit of the Govt. funds. In addition, has considerable experience in security systems, intelligence and counter intelligence at the highest level in the Govt.

  • During 1979 to 1999 - served as controller of Finance and Accounts of 9 important ministries mentioned above and has been responsible for Accounting, Audit and Internal check of entire Govt. Funds and also monitoring and Internal Audit of Public Sector Banks and Reserve Bank of India dealing with such funds.

  • An important contribution with introduction of Management Information System in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in the year 1982, which also covers a major information program of the Television Coverage of the Country. (up to 89% of the Indian Space). It has also been responsible for introduction of information Management System in All India Radio, Publication Division and 'Doordarshan' which resulted in 30% savings of Govt. Funds.

Mrs. Shilpi Sharma, has rich and varied experience of over two decades in the financial service indusrty , and over a decade of distressed assets experience.She is a Practicing Company Secretary and has built expertise and executing financial transactions in identifying distress opportunites, structring and executing finacial transactions. She is actively involved with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India having served as convener/Member of various functional commitees of NIRC of ICSI.

Mr. K.K. Gupta, B.com (Hons), FCA, is a practicing Chartered Accountant, having experience of 36 years. He was director of Punjab & Sind Bank, United Bank of India, P.N.B. Capital Services Ltd. He was also appointed as nominee director of IFCI on the board of Southern Steels Limited.

Mr. Gupta is presently on the Board of Reserve Bank of India (Northern Region) with effect from 20th August, 2010 in terms of appointment made by Government of India.

Mr. Gupta has conducted audit for various kinds of companies during his practice since 1971.

During the period of Directorship in Nationalized Banks he also served as Chairman of Audit Committee of Banks which p osition he continues to hold even today besides being permanent Member of the Managing Committee of banks. He is well acquainted with the credit management & Problems of NPAs in Banks.

Mr. U. S Kohli, holds a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also has two very distingished courses of Indian Institute of Bankers to his credit, namely CAIIB and Industrial Finance.

As a banker Mr. Kohli started his career with Punjab and Sindh Bank as an SSI officer and rose to the position of Executive Director in Dena Bank in 2007.

During his distinguished career as a most successful banker Mr. Kohli held various positions of responsibilities both at administrative levels and at field levels, including the position of Chief Vigilance Officer in Union Bank of India. Mr. Kohli has wide experience in various functional areas of banking, more prominently in the area of International Banking, Treasury and Recoveries (NPAs).

Mr. Kohli attended various training programmes of prominence in India and abroad.

Presently Mr. Kohli is also a Director on the Boards of Birla Power Solutions Limited, Birla Surya Limited, Birla Cotsyn Limited, Birla Pacific Medspa Limited, Avon organics Limited, Weizmann Forex Limited, Union KBS Trustee Co. Limited, STI(I) Limited, CM Framing Limited.

Hon'ble Justice S. S. Parkar,(Retd. from High Court), a Legal luminary in the country and an advocate by profession, passed his LL.M. and stood first in Bombay University. Justice Parkar has a fine blend of a teaching as Professor of law and a very successful practicing Lawyer in Bombay High Court.

He retired from Mumbai Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal as its Chairperson in September 2008. He has acquired wide knowledge and experience in the fields of civil, criminal and banking matters over the years. He is now chairman of High Rise Building Committee of Govt. of Maharashtra.

Justice Prakash Prabhakar Naolekar, Additional Director, passed B.com in the year 1963 from Jabalpur University. Passed LL.B from Jabalpur University in the year 1965. He had Joined the Bar in December 1965 in the Chamber of Hon’ble Mr. Justice A.P. Sen and later Hon’ble Mr. Justice J.S. Verma, who later on, became the Judge/ Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India

As an advocate, he also practiced in Civil, Criminal, Constitution, Company Labour & Service matters. Appointed standing counsel for Raipur University in 1983 and Standing Counsel of Madhya Pradesh High Court, Municipal Corporations and various Co-operative Societies in 1989. He has also functioned as Vice President of Madhya Pradesh High Court Bar Association from 1983 to 1989. Associated with Social Organisations, viz. Lions International Club, Sangeet Samaj, Educational Institutions.

Mr. Naolekar was also elevated to Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court as Permanent Judge on 15.06.1992. He was transferred to Rajasthan High Court on 28.04.1994 and appointed as the Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court on 10.06.2002. In year 2004 he was elevated as Judge of the Supreme Court of India and retired on 29.06.2008.

Thereafter, he was also appointed as Lokayukta from 2008 to 2016.

Mr. D.G. Rajpal is a Nominee Director on our Board, representing Central Bank of India in his capacity as 'General Manager-Recovery' at the bank.
